What it reads

When you connect Google or Microsoft, AccountBot requests read-only mail access and looks only for messages from [email protected] to extract one-time Steam Guard codes.

How linking works

  1. The bot operator starts linking from Discord and sends you a link.
  2. You approve read-only mail access on the Google or Microsoft consent screen.
  3. When an authorized Discord user asks for a code, AccountBot fetches it from Steam’s email.

You can revoke access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account. Details are in the privacy policy and terms of service.
